Morning Prayer for Today – 28.1.2021
Lord, there are times other people’s choices negatively affect me. Teach me empathy, Lord, so I can understand them and see them through Your eyes. Let me be more patient with them.
Lord, there are times other people’s choices negatively affect me. Teach me empathy, Lord, so I can understand them and see them through Your eyes. Let me be more patient with them.
Lord, this morning I ask You for the gift of good judgment. Help me distinguish between right and wrong and always choose to do what is right. May I find it easy to avoid sin and people who can lead me away from You.
Lord, protect me from the evils of the world today. Grant me the gift of understanding so that I may stand by my faith. Grant me courage, so that in the face of evil, I will be strong and not falter.
Lord, there are times I feel frustrated and defeated by other people’s decisions and choices. Remove the selfishness in my heart so that I can listen more to what they are really feeling and saying.
Father, sometimes I feel like I burn myself out overthinking things. I tend to demand too much for solutions to my problems, not seeing the bigger picture that You have for me. Give me the patience to go through life confident that though things may be confusing today, everything moves according to Your will.
Lord, help me understand that even though the pursuit of joy and happiness is great, there is also beauty in suffering and sacrifices. Give me the strength not to run from pain and suffering but find meaning in them instead.
Jesus, this morning I ask for Your blessing. Let me see Your light in other people. Shine Your light through me so that I will be able to guide other people back to You as well.
Lord, guide me today, so that, through the Holy Spirit, I will have the wisdom to see the world through Your eyes. May I make decisions with Your teachings in my mind and with Your love in my heart.
Lord, make me Your instrument today. Give me wisdom so that I may be able to strengthen my character, appreciate the values of my faith, and learn to serve You and Your people.
Lord, may I have the strength of heart today to respond to Your calling. Like mother Mary, who was confused but said yes when the angel asked her to be the bearer of God’s Son, help me surrender in faith, especially for decisions beyond my understanding.
Lord, today I ask You for reconciliation among the people of our nation, for everything that has happened in the past and what is happening today. We need it, Father, for without it we will be left unhappy, bitter, and separated from one another.
Father, I live in a country whose wounds are still bleeding. We carry with us the traumas of the past that still strongly pave the way we walk. Please show us how to heal these wounds so that we do not pass them on to future generations.
