Morning Prayer for Today – Open my Eyes

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this glorious new day.

Today I am contemplating the verse in Mark 8:25:

“Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again; and he opened his eyes, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.”

Mark 8:25

Jesus, I pray that you open my eyes and help me see the conflicts I am allowing to brew in my family, friends, and other people.

Please help me wash out all hatred and ill intentions in and around me.

Today I choose the way of love because love protects, as you said in Corinthians 13:7:

“It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

Corinthians 13:7

Help me to protect those I love by loving them and acting right for their best interest.

Be with me, Lord, and uphold me with your righteous hand.

Thank you for the renewal that you are starting in me.

I pray this in Jesus’ name,
