Let’s help Ina and other poor families in São Paulo
Some time ago, we started a charity campaign to raise money for Ina and her son Fabio. You can read her story here.
Her life did not spare her. Huntington’s disease took her husband, later her daughter, and her son Fabio was already very ill at the time. She asked us to help her to buy a wheelchair, so she could occasionally take Fabio out into the sun and fresh air. She couldn’t do it without a wheelchair.
In the meantime, Fabio succumbed to illness, but for Mrs. Ina, who is now without a son’s pension, we continue to raise money. We will help her with the most urgent necessities.
The wheelchair, however, will be dedicated to Gilbert; you can read his story here. Today, he is 29 years old, but since his birth he is suffering from a severe form of meningitis, he has been immobile and always completely dependent on his mother Zuldia.
Zuldia told us that three years ago, she filed all the documents the municipality requires for her wheelchair allocation. Sadly, it takes so long to get things done in the offices. Now, after three years, she has been told in the municipality that her documents have been ‘lost’. The Brazilian reality.
At Operando, we don’t want these people waiting. With the money we raise, we will buy Gilbert a good wheelchair. Every dollar will come in handy. Thank you for your help!
This cause is completed. We collected $ 1621 and donated it soon it was colsed.
If you choose to donate through the form above, we will dedicate your donation to one of the currently active causes.
