Morning Prayer for Today – Bless My Work Today

Dear Lord,

My heart is full of thanks for the love you’ve shown me by holding my hand to see a new day.

I pray that you establish the work of my hands by helping me to be productive, patient, focused, and insightful.

Keep me from distractions and technology hindering my work instead of helping it.

May your Spirit lead me in my work and help me to be joyful, creative, and worshipful, constantly reminding me of your love.

Teach me to align my career, family, church life, and rest in a way that would maximize your glory and allow me to bear the most fruit for your kingdom.

This is your Word from Hebrews 12:1-2 that inspires me today:

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Hebrews 12:1-2

My Father, as I work today, please fix my eyes on Jesus and His finished mission on the cross that gave me treasure I could not earn.

This cross gave me rest I could not otherwise experience and a living hope that fuels me to work for the glory of your Holy name.
