There are certain times in our lives when we feel lost. Fear and anxiety cloud our minds and cover our hearts.

We stare at the dark and uncertain future, desperate for light to guide us through this path, called life. We call out on God to help us, as we silently speak through our hearts the prayer for Guidance.

A Prayer for Guidance

For God had said:

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”

Psalm 32:8
prayer for guidance

Dear Lord,

I give You thanks and I give You praise all the days of my life. I thank You for the abundant blessings You have showered me and I am sorry for the times when I strayed away from Your teachings.

There are more than 5,000 promises in the Bible.

Lord, I know I am not worthy, yet You always showed me You love me. My heart sings of praise.

Today, I would like to seek Your help. My heart is troubled.

I am unable to move forward. I am lost and in need of guidance. I do not know what to do next and I ask that I may be guided to the right path.

Lord, as I walk through this path, grant me inner peace. My mind is clouded by anxiety. Cleanse my mind and heart so that whatever challenges I may face, my heart will remain strong.

My future is uncertain and I am afraid I might go in the wrong direction. Father, I ask for Your guidance. I doubt each step I take and I am fearful.

“Show me Your ways, Lord, teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior and my hope is in You all day long”

Psalm 25:4-5

The snares of temptation crush my soul. They try to direct me to roads that lead away from You. Help me to remain strong.

You are my strength and my fortress. You are the Source of my joy and peace of mind.

You have always been there for me, and I pray that I will know which path to take and what decisions to make in these tough times.

DO YOU WANT TO BE NOTIFIED?

When we publish something new, you will be the first one to know about it.

I pray that I may do everything according to Your will. It may be difficult for me to understand all that I am going through right now, but I know that through Your light, someday, I will see everything fall into place.

“That this is God, our God forever and ever. He will guide us forever.”

Psalm 48:14

Dear Lord, I offer this prayer for Guidance. Hold my hand, Oh Lord. I cannot walk this road alone. Lead me to where You want me to go. Amen.

In the area of Chocó there is a wild war. On the one hand, illegal guerrillas, on the other, army and police.

The worst victims of the war are not the soldiers, but the communities of Indians and Afro-Colombians, native people living there.

New casualties are reported daily in these territories. In the forests inhabited by natives, the illegal army chases them out of their territory; burning their homes, killing men, raping women, bombing houses so they need to move out, elsewhere - always where the land is poor and living conditions impoverished.

People flee their homes to the settlement of Riosucio, where they live in extreme misery, poverty, desperate because they cannot return home. Missionaries want to help these people, but unfortunately, they often lack the resources to work effectively.

They want to rebuild their missionary library, to provide people with space for music and theater activities, where young people will be able to get in touch with their roots and culture.

Two of our missionaries spent one whole month in Riosucio and they wrote a lot about the situation there. If you are interested to know more, check out their articles here >>

Thank you so much for every dollar dedicated to missionaries in Chocó and the people they live and work with.
