He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who conquers shall not be hurt by the second death.

I will be as the dew to Israel; he shall blossom as the lily, he shall strike root as the poplar;

I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him. My faithfulness and my steadfast love shall be with him, and in my name shall his horn be exalted. I will set his hand on the sea and his right hand on the rivers.

Reflect on the statutes of the Lord, and meditate at all times on his commandments. It is he who will give insight to[a] your mind, and your desire for wisdom will be granted.

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look at the earth beneath; for the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment, and they who dwell in it will die like gnats; but my salvation will be for ever, and my deliverance will never be ended.
