Most of us believe that God is always with us because He loves and cares for each and every one of us. However, with all the horrible things happening in the world today, can we still stand in front of other people and proudly say the words “God is with me!”

Satan loves using fear and uncertainty to trick us into believing that God has abandoned us in this cruel world. Experiencing bad things often makes us believe that God has forsaken us, but the truth is that no matter how difficult the situation is, God will never leave us.

The best thing that we can do whenever we are tempted is to put our trust in God’s words. A lot of the scriptures in the Bible promise us of His divine presence in our time of need if we just believe and have faith in Him.

Bible Verses I Use to Remind Me that God is With Me

The Bible has gifted us with a lot of encouraging scriptures that we can use to strengthen our faith. Whenever you feel that you are being tempted, you can seek refuge in the following bible verses to give you strength and to remind you that God will always be by your side to protect and save you from harm.

Have Faith in God

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

Psalm 23:4

There are more than 5,000 promises in the Bible.

These words were penned by David when he was getting old. He talks about God, addressing Him as his shepherd, and thanking Him for His guidance, protection, and company.

David’s words illustrate that his strength and courage come from God, and even in the face of death, he will fear nothing because he knows that God will never abandon him.

This scripture teaches us that we should fear nothing, even death itself, if we believe and put our faith and trust in Him.

Do Not Worry About the Future

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

Joshua 1:9
God is with me

This is one of my favorite verses to read whenever I am frightened and distressed about my future. It encourages me to be strong and to rely on God for everything that I need.

This scripture commands us not to be fearful or worry about our future, for God knows what we need, and He will always accompany us wherever we go till the end of time.

God Is More than Sufficient

“Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

Deuteronomy 31:6

This verse reassures us that God is more than sufficient in any situation that we may encounter. It challenges us to be strong and courageous no matter what or who we face, for He promises that He will never fail or forsake us as long as we believe in Him.

God Will Always Help You

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Isaiah 41:10

When we publish something new, you will be the first one to know about it.

This verse orders us to have faith in God’s words. It tells us not to fear for He promises to give us strength when we need it, help us when we are in trouble, and uphold us with His righteous hand whenever we slip from the path.

Final Words

As Christians, we encounter temptations that test our faith in God. These trials are sometimes too much to bear and are quite impossible to overcome by ourselves.

However, we should always remember that God is with us all the time. He will give us the strength, courage, and determination to triumph over these temptations, which will give us the confidence to finally be able to shout to the world the words “God is with me!

In the area of Chocó there is a wild war. On the one hand, illegal guerrillas, on the other, army and police.

The worst victims of the war are not the soldiers, but the communities of Indians and Afro-Colombians, native people living there.

New casualties are reported daily in these territories. In the forests inhabited by natives, the illegal army chases them out of their territory; burning their homes, killing men, raping women, bombing houses so they need to move out, elsewhere - always where the land is poor and living conditions impoverished.

People flee their homes to the settlement of Riosucio, where they live in extreme misery, poverty, desperate because they cannot return home. Missionaries want to help these people, but unfortunately, they often lack the resources to work effectively.

They want to rebuild their missionary library, to provide people with space for music and theater activities, where young people will be able to get in touch with their roots and culture.

Two of our missionaries spent one whole month in Riosucio and they wrote a lot about the situation there. If you are interested to know more, check out their articles here >>
