Lord,
Today I pray for our leaders. The lawmakers in our cities and towns and those that govern our nation.
Let them be men and women who govern with justice and the truth of your righteousness.
As you said in the Bible:
Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Philippians 2:4
And again, you said:
But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant.
Matthew 20:26
Please give our leaders clear minds so that they may lead with authority.
Give them wisdom and the knowledge they need to make good decisions.
Let their objectives be truly motivated by what is best for the people they govern, for the good of the many and the good of the few.
And Lord, let me be a good leader of my own life. Make me courageous and strong. Give me all I need to make wise decisions in my work, social, and family life.
