Morning Prayer for Today – You Are in Control!

Mighty God,

I am humbled that you have given me a chance to see a new day.

I know that I’ve been tempted to worry about so many things in my weak state.

Forgive me for focusing on the challenges around me instead of focusing on You as my savior.

Thank you for the Bible that equips and empowers me to live each day. In Matthew 6:27-28, you are telling me:

“And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing?

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”

Matthew 6:27-28

I know Jesus that worrying accomplishes nothing. It only makes me miserable.

So, right now, I declare that you are my only hope.

Please help me always remember that you are in control no matter the situation.

I rest all my cares unto your mighty hands, Jesus.

Be glorified now and forever.
