Morning Prayer for Today – Wipe Away Our Tears

Almighty God,

Thank you because you are rich in love and full of mercy.

Around the world, many people are wounded, weary and broken, with their only hope being you, my Lord.

I pray that you arise and turn their situations around.

Now we unite our hearts and faith with the bereaved, the isolated, and the anxious.

We pray that you’ll remember them and wipe away their tears. As you said in Revelation 21:3-4:

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

I pray that you’ll restore dignity in people’s lives and that your glory will shine for many more so they know that you are God, the only One.

Lord, come down by your mighty power and have mercy.

May everyone in affliction experience your healing.

May peace, love, and restoration come over for the glory of your holy name.
