Lord,
Thank You for waking me up this morning with Your gentle hand, drawing me close and inviting me to realize that You are truly with me. As a Child, a Newborn. Taking You from Mary’s arms, I immediately sense Your delicacy and fragrance.
So small and fragile. Gazing into Your eyes, filled with tenderness and wonder. I kiss You on the forehead and smile at Mary. What a wonderful gift she has chosen for me by deciding to embrace the Son of God.
In presence of her and the Redeemer, I stand empty-handed. All I have is my heart. I want to open it to You, so that You can illuminate me with the Light that You bring with You into the world.
I feel Your peace and purity. I pray for all the children of this world who have died from hatred, war, poverty, illness, abortion … Fill the hearts of their mothers with hope and comfort. Grant them the sensation of Your presence cradled in their arms, affirming that their lives and sacrifices bore profound meaning.
I pray for the Holy Spirit, that the flame of love, peace, and sincere connection may ignite the heart of every inhabitant of this planet.
