My father,

You created this wonderful land, so diverse, so rich, so fertile, and You dedicated it to me for my earthly home. Thank you for my country!

Lord, as deeply as I feel sorry for the division among the people, I ask you so strongly to unite us and teach us to live with each other without hatred and resentment.

Father, I live in a country whose wounds are still bleeding. We carry with us the traumas of the past that still strongly pave the way we walk. Please show us how to heal these wounds so that we do not pass them on to the next generations.

There are more than 5,000 promises in the Bible.

Promises God wants to give you personally!

Subscribe to daily BIBLE promise and get the first one tomorrow. IT’S FREE!

May Your Spirit and Your Love flow from them, just as they flowed from the wounds of Your pierced body on the cross.

I ask you for reconciliation between these people, for reconciliation with everything that happened in the past and what is happening today. We need it, Father, for without it we will be left unhappy, bitter, and separated from one another.

Father, I ask you to be with our leaders. With all of our leaders, regardless of their beliefs, regardless of their political affiliation, whether I agree with their work or not.

Give me confidence in your wisdom and prudence, especially when I doubt the path this country is walking. Everything is under your control, I have no reason to worry; all of the good that this country does, you sanctify and ennoble, and you transform all of its mistakes and teach us important life lessons from them. So it is today and so it has always been.

DO YOU WANT TO BE NOTIFIED?

When we publish something new, you will be the first one to know about it.

Lord, I ask you for all of the people who have ever lived off of this land, for our forefathers and great-grandmothers, especially those who died unhappy, sick, wounded, and afflicted. Of trials, there have been many, but thank you for them, for in the fruits of that pain we can live today, feel safe, and have opportunities that our ancestors never had.

Send down the Holy Spirit so that we can recognize the vision you have for our homeland. Moreover, let us be able to accept and realize your vision – all together, united, as brothers and sisters in You.

And finally, Lord, may this prayer reach all future generations as well. They will reap what we sow today. May they reap prosperity, peace, unity, reconciliation, and love!

Amen.

In the area of Chocó there is a wild war. On the one hand, illegal guerrillas, on the other, army and police.

The worst victims of the war are not the soldiers, but the communities of Indians and Afro-Colombians, native people living there.

New casualties are reported daily in these territories. In the forests inhabited by natives, the illegal army chases them out of their territory; burning their homes, killing men, raping women, bombing houses so they need to move out, elsewhere - always where the land is poor and living conditions impoverished.

People flee their homes to the settlement of Riosucio, where they live in extreme misery, poverty, desperate because they cannot return home. Missionaries want to help these people, but unfortunately, they often lack the resources to work effectively.

They want to rebuild their missionary library, to provide people with space for music and theater activities, where young people will be able to get in touch with their roots and culture.

Two of our missionaries spent one whole month in Riosucio and they wrote a lot about the situation there. If you are interested to know more, check out their articles here >>
